SCOPE OF WORK

Enlightened was tasked to support the Office of Information and Technology's (OI&T) strategic planning effort of the Federal government's second largest agency, by providing innovative strategies for implementing goals and objectives.

DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES PROVIDED TO CUSTOMER

By analyzing business needs mapped to IT strategic objectives and evaluating new legislative mandates and technology advances, OT&T was enabled by an effective planning process to ensure IT plans align with tactical plans and multi-year programming.
Underlying the planning process, a methodology framework was developed for OT&T to define, maintain, and communicate policies and procedures to govern the behavior of OT&T.
OI&T's strategy was communicated throughout VA by attending events and workshops, the development of newsletters and presentation slides, to increase awareness.

OUTCOME/VALUE/BENEFIT TO CUSTOMER

Enlightened supported VA by assisting the formulation of OI&T's strategic planning process, and the development of the Information Technology (IT) Strategic Plan through FY 2013. This plan enables VA to effectively administer programs of veterans' benefits for veterans, their families, and survivors.
