CSOSA Sex Offender Registry (SOR)

SCOPE OF WORK

Enhance the Sex Offender Registry (SOR) functionality to meet the requirements for sex offender registration and notification of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA), and upgrade the SOR application to align with CSOSA's target technical architecture.

DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES PROVIDED TO CUSTOMER

Enlightened redesigned the SOR application to comply with the federal SORNA guidelines; allow for higher quality data through the inclusion of GIS address verification, detailed history and tracking; provide for better monitoring and tracking of convicted sex offenders within the District of Columbia (DC); and support the application's migration to CSOSA's target architecture.

OUTCOME/VALUE/BENEFIT TO CUSTOMER

DC public safety was improved by enabling residents to take direct measures of a lawful nature for the protection of themselves and their families, reducing crime and recidivism through improvements to the monitoring and tracking of convicted sex offenders within DC, and supporting the fair administration of justice by providing accurate, timely and complete information to criminal justice decision-makers.
