ENLIGHTENED'S PROTÉGÉ AWARDED GINNIE MAE CONTRACT

WASHINGTON (July 13): Enlightened, Inc. ("Enlightened"), a leading provider of Information Technology (IT) consulting services, is pleased to announce that its protégé, Axiom Corporation (Axiom), in the Small Business Administration (SBA) Mentor Protégé Program, has been awarded a contract with Ginnie Mae. The contract is a continuation of a contract Enlightened was awarded in 2007. With Enlightened's experience and expertise delivering services to Ginnie Mae, Enlightened will serve as a sub contractor to Axiom on the project.

Under the contract, Axiom will be providing program management support for Ginnie Mae's Information Management Division (IMD), in the form of a managed outsourced IT PMO office. This includes developing project management best practices, providing project management and system development lifecycle governance, and sponsoring project management education. Additional tasks include providing strategic guidance to project management teams and developing a more transparent and efficient executive dashboard for CIO reporting. Through all its activities, the goal is to support Ginnie Mae's mission of "expanding affordable housing in America by linking global capital markets to the nation's housing markets" by combining information technology with program management support services.

The intent of the 8(a) Mentor/Protégé Program is to enhance the development of the protégé and to encourage mentors to provide various forms of assistance to the 8(a) program protégés. This partnership is a prime example of the SBA Mentor protégé program working at its best. Enlightened will be able to foster and mentor Axiom for their first contract since joining the program.
