ENLIGHTENED TO PROVIDE EPA WITH FISMA ASSESSMENT SERVICES

WASHINGTON (March 3): Enlightened, Inc. ("Enlightened"), a leading provider of Information Technology (IT) consulting services, announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) providing Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) Audit Services. For this effort Enlightened will be a subcontractor to its long-standing teaming partner Williams, Adley and Company LLP ("WA&Co").

Enlightened will assist WA&Co with the FISMA audit in order to assess EPA's IT security posture. The audit will be conducted in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 "Recommended Security Controls for Federal Information Systems". The audit assesses the policies, procedures, and practices used to manage and maintain information and information systems' security and adequately protect the agency's data.
