ENLIGHTENED NAMED DC CHAMBER COMMERCE'S 2005 SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
The DC Chamber Of Commerce 2005 Choice Awards Recognizes Enlightened

WASHINGTON (OCTOBER 24): The 2005 DC Chamber's Choice Awards is the premiere black tie event of the year that helps raise awareness of the business achievements of DC region's leaders and to honor those who make a difference. Following its 67-year tradition, the DC Chamber of Commerce will present its Business Awards on October 29, 2005. Enlightened Inc, an INC. 500 company, has been named the DC Chamber of Commerce's 2005 "Small Business of the Year". The award ceremony will take place at the 67th DC Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala, to be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Northwest, Washington, DC.

The evening's events will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by the award ceremony and program, and dinner. Jim Vance, NBC4 news anchor, will serve as the event's Master of Ceremonies. The prestigious affair attracts over 1,500 of DC's most prominent leaders, decision-makers, dignitaries, and elite sponsors. In the past, local businesses such as, Comcast DC, HGM Management and Technologies, Inc have been recipients of the "Small Business of the Year" Award. From President Antwanye Ford's point of view, the road to success has been long with many obstacles to overcome.

"This being our seventh year in existence, this award means so much to my partners, my staff and myself. For Enlightened this award comes after years of dedication and hard work. We still have many plans for the future, and feel truly honored and blessed," said Antwanye Ford.

The "Small Business of the Year" award is presented to the small business that throughout the year has demonstrated the qualities and successful business criteria needed for a prosperous and growing organization. The company has made significant advancement in the area of professional accomplishments and has 100 or fewer employees.
